Queen Charlotte Sound

Queen Charlotte Sound / Tōtaranui is the easternmost of the main sounds of the Marlborough Sounds, in New Zealand's South Island.

Experience the spectacular Marlborough Sounds whilst walking or biking the Queen Charlotte Track. The track stretches 70 km from historic Meretoto/Ship Cove through to Anakiwa in the Grove Arm of Queen Charlotte Sound.

Marlborough Flyer

The Marlborough Flyer is a heritage steam train from a majestic bygone era.

Join us to experience a heritage steam journey between Picton and Blenheim. Travelling on the historic World War I Memorial Locomotive, Passchendaele (1915), your journey through Marlborough takes you to Blenheim, where you can explore and be spoilt for choice sampling the regions’ world-famous wines and cuisine.

Kaipupu Wildlife Sanctuary

Kaipupu Wildlife Sanctuary is a community project which aims to restore a 40 hectare 'mainland island' in Picton harbour.  The Sanctuary offers amazing wildlife viewing, engaging school or group visits and volunteering opportunities. The Sanctuary is located at the head of Picton harbour in Queen Charlotte Sound.

Victoria Domain

Located in Picton with multiple access points: Surrey Street, Sussex Street, Waikawa Road, Leicester Street, Shelley Beach, Picton Marina, Snout Track, Bobs Bay and Endeavour Park.

Overlooking Picton Harbour and Queen Charlotte Sound, the forested expanse of Victoria Domain offers the opportunity for picnicking, walking and scenic views. A drive along the Ridge Road caters for the less energetic while an extensive walking track and mountain bike network will readily satisfy more adventurous souls.
